This clinic is designed for forwards and defenseman with focus on:
Checking: To play at the top of your game, it is critical to be able to properly give and receive contact to avoid potential injury. Each player will develop the skills and confidence needed to play to the best of their abilities in tight, challenging physical situations. Instruction will include teaching proper technique to give/receive contact (checking). This clinic is for players transitioning into/currently playing with checking and body contact.
Overspeed Skating: This is not your traditional power skating session composed of lines going up and down the ice. Rather, these sessions are high-temp, full speed, with built in recovery time to simulate game shift scenarios. Drills for this skill will force the player to move their feet faster than they are comfortable doing. Areas of focus will include:
