Body contact is a skill that starts early on and continually needs to be developed no matter what the age level for both boys and girls. In this clinic players will be introduced to body contact and angling through drills that include physical contact while trying to gain possession of the puck. Small area games will be utilized to take away time and space to increase the speed of decision making and help players build confidence in a safe environment.
This clinic is designed for players (boys and girls) and will have small-group sessions designed to expedite individual skill development through a combination of technical drills and small area games. Each day builds upon the last ensuring the players are individually challenged and maintain a high compete level as the sessions progress. Through this process of high reps and puck touches, correctional teaching, and accelerated decision making, players can begin to realize their full potential.
Players will receive 8 hours of instruction over 4 consecutive days focused on daily combinations of: body contact and angling, power skating, puck control, shooting, transitional skating, positional play, and small area games.
